How our rankings work
nspire.you gathers what real people say helped them — comments, posts and reviews from across the internet — and files it by life situation, with published research beside it. It shows what that evidence supports, says plainly where it stops, and never passes off one person's experience as scientific proof. Nothing here is ordered by popularity, clicks or payment.
How it works
- It looks, every night. Each night it searches YouTube, Reddit, the App Store, Apple Podcasts, Open Library and PubMed for meditations, breathing practices, movement, apps, podcasts and books.
- It keeps first-hand experience. A comment counts when someone describes what happened when they tried it. Promotion, spam and bot-like posts are filtered out, and a new find is published only with a first-hand report behind it. Research papers are kept apart: they inform a topic, but a paper is never counted as a person.
- It notes what people say changed. Falling asleep sooner, less anxiety, feeling calmer, energy coming back — and also when nothing changed, or something made it worse. This is a record of what people say, not proof that something works for everyone. Until the automatic reading of these reports is measured accurate enough, it never becomes a percentage on a page.
- It files each find under a situation. A find sits under the situation it was searched for. It joins another situation only when two different people say, in their own words, that it helped them with that one.
- It orders by the evidence, never by payment. Practices are ordered by how many first-hand reports back them; when two are equally backed, the free one comes first. More reports means more to go on — not proof that one thing works better than another.
- It stays current, and hides what loses its evidence. New reports are added every night, and anything that loses the evidence behind it is hidden until it earns it back. When you open what people said, their words are read live from the original post, with a link to it; where a platform allows no way to do that, you get the link alone. What we count by is the link and what the comment reported; the words, the name and the picture come from the platform when you ask to see them — and anyone who wrote one of these comments can ask for it out by writing to smile@nspire.you with the link.
What we never do: fabricate statistics (every number traces to a real database row), accept paid placement, make clinical or medical claims, or invent testimonials.
Where numbers come from: "real experiences" are public reviews with source links; "said it helped" percentages come only from answers people give on nspire after trying something; references are real, linkable studies, with systematic reviews, meta-analyses and randomized controlled trials listed first, refreshed weekly.
