Journaling and meditation helped me to trace where it was coming from.— u/Katrose92, on reddit
It's a meditation program. Basically some guided meditation audios that you will make of what you will. \n\nI was in a similar situation as you and what you wrote really resonated with me. The Gateway tapes have helped me reorganize my concept of myself and how I interact with the world.— u/aesther_tesseract, on reddit
I had this often. It helped me to do a guided meditation for anxiety immediately upon waking. I’d select a meditation the night before so it’s ready immediately. You can find guided meditations for anxiety on YouTube, and on most mental health apps. (I use Headspace). These really helped me get past the morning, I hope it helps you.— u/Inpursuitofknowing, on reddit

- What helps with Identity Crisis?
- The approaches people most often describe helping are meditation and reading. Which one fits depends on whether you need something in the moment or something that shifts the pattern over weeks — the list on this page is ordered by what people said actually worked for them.
- Which approach works best?
- There isn't one answer that fits everyone. The approach with the strongest backing here is "10-Minute Guided Meditation: Self-Love | SELF" — a meditation practice. Most people try two or three things before they find the one that suits them.
- How long before it starts to help?
- It depends a lot on the approach. In the experiences people share publicly, breathing techniques are usually described as working within minutes, in the moment. Meditation, yoga and changes to what you eat get talked about over longer stretches — people typically describe giving them days or weeks before judging whether they helped.
- Can it be managed without medication?
- Many people find real, lasting relief through self-guided practices, and everything on this page is ordered by what people living with identity crisis said actually helped them. That said, for clinical or severe presentations, professional guidance alongside any self-care approach is always recommended.
- What evidence is behind these?
- Every approach here earned its place from real experiences people shared publicly — 44 real people gathered from across the internet, spanning 13 resources for Identity Crisis. Nothing appears on this page without at least one real, attributable person behind it.
- Is this medical advice?
- No. These are self-guided wellbeing practices — things people have found genuinely helpful — not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. If you're in crisis, please contact a helpline or medical professional immediately.
- What is nspire.you?
- nspire.you matches you with evidence-backed resources for mental and physical wellbeing — meditation, breathing, yoga, movement, nutrition, music, and more. Unlike generic search, every recommendation is ranked by real people — each one linked to its original — not by popularity or sponsorship.
